I just moved into a new property over a month ago, and the internet connection was still not yet set up. It seems that there are more than a few problems with the cabling, and I simply can't get a dial tone on my phone/internet connection.  I made contact with my property manager (who took like 2-3 days to get back to me) and she sent an electrician down to sort out the termination point, still no dial tone. Finally I called Sydney Cable, who came on the same day, and spent 5 minutes established there is a problem with the wiring within my building to my unit, very helpful.

About 6 weeks ago I registered for ADSL + Home phone service from ISP. They told me that on Monday a technician will come to install your land line and you have to stay at home. I took a leave and stayed and expected someone but nobody. I called them, the engineer told me that there is a jumper in MDF and he gave me the number of the jumper. He told me that you have to ask building manager to set that jumper but the manager said he has no keys and skills. Finally I called Sydney Cable, who came late night and had the keys to MDF, helped me fix the problem in seconds.
